Sports Recreation Leisure

· As a TD, I strongly support continued and increased investment in our recreational and sports facilities. This year, Sports Capital Funding totalled over €150 million – with almost all sports, including most minority sports.

· I also strongly support South Dublin County Council in its work locally. I am pleased to report that the Council has received significant government funding for the following projects:

Ball Courts – Dodder Valley - €35,000

Bowling Green – Seán Walsh Park; Storage Facilities, Ballymount - €14000

Ball-Stop Nets, Kilnamanagh - €10,500

Ballymount GAA Pitch - €35,000

Dodder Valley/ Park BMX Track - €105,000

Killinarden Park Pitch – Multi-Sport - €249,960

Kiltipper Park Soccer Pitch – Multi-Sport - €249,960

Pavillion – Dodder Valley Park/Mt. Carmel - €259,438
