I was thrilled to be able to attned. along woth almost four hundred others, the annual Tallaght Person of the Year Awards in Moran's Red Cow Hotel last Friday night (30th November. There was a long list of nominations for a number of amazing categories and the winner of the Tallaght Person of the Year, succeeding Donie Anderson of Castlekelly, Bohernabreena, is Mary McLoughlin of the HOPE Organisation which provides counselling and other vital services to people locally. I met Mary for the first time over the summer months at TallaghtFest and as everyone who knows her will attest, she is a remarkable woman - congratulations and enjoy the forthcoming year representing Tallaght!
