Fianna Fáil has delivered more Gardaí for Tallaght – and we’ll deliver more, especially Community Gardaí.
One of Fianna Fáil’s priorities in this Dáil was ensuring Garda numbers were increased. We have succeeded in achieving this.
In the latest Budget, Fianna Fáil secured an additional 750 Gardaí - but we need more, and we need additional Community Gardaí.
I have held a number of policing meetings locally which the Superintendent in Tallaght has attended with his Community Garda team.
I continue to work closely with Residents' Associations across Tallaght in highlighting the need for additional community policing.
The Garda have responded quickly – and have issued Anti-Social Behaviour Orders to juveniles and their parents in some cases.
I continue to press for more Garda resources for Tallaght, and more are coming.
